FAC staff members are knowledgeable professionals dedicated to providing the best service to families. They are well informed and responsive, understanding well that the adoption process is a serious and often emotionally taxing journey.

Michalina M. Miller, MSW, Executive Director

Michalina M. Miller, MSW, joined Frank Adoption Center in December 2005. She is originally from Southern California, where she has worked since 1999 as the Director of Adoptions at a private, non-profit Russian accredited adoption agency.  In addition to working with families adopting internationally, the agency she comes from also specialized in domestic adoptions.  Michalina has also spent the last 6 years in private practice working as a therapist with families, children, couples and individuals dealing with a myriad of issues.  She comes to Frank Adoption Center, North Carolina with a breadth of knowledge and experience in not only managing an adoption agency and an international case load, but also in preparing families to adopt internationally and in dealing with the many intricacies involved with this process.  Currently, Michalina is working on becoming licensed in the State of North Carolina.

Anne Lukhard, BSW, Adoption Social Worker

Anne was formerly employed with our agency. She and her husband Lee adopted through our agency several years ago. Anne's children are now older and she was anxious to rejoin the Frank team on a full-time basis. Anne will work with families who are 'paper ready'. Formerly, she was a Contract Social Worker in the Raleigh area, working with families on completion of their adoptive home studies.

Amy Perry, MSW, Adoption Social Worker

Amy began working at the Frank Adoption Center in February, 2006. She is originally from Maryland and received her Master of Social Work from Catholic University in Washington, DC. Amy has been working in the social work field for four years in a variety of settings. She moved to NC from DC in June with her soon to be husband, Lee. Amy is very excited about serving families throughout their adoption process.
