Our philosophy views adoption as a life long journey. We recognize that families will benefit from available support, resources, and a sense of community as their children grow.
Frank Adoption Center is pleased to offer free seminars to all adoptive parents. These seminars occur every other month. Please check our event section for dates and times. Topics may include:
- Talking to your Child about Adoption
- Child Development
- Taking Care of Baby
- Helping Children with Attachment
- Helping Children Learn to Manage Their Behaviors
- Helping Children with Birth Family Connections
- Sibling Relationships in Adoptive Families
- Understanding the Impact of Adoption on Children
- Transracial Adoptions
Active involvement and ongoing collaboration with national support groups such as FRUA (Friends of Russian and Ukrainian Adoption) and SPAFA (Southern Piedmont Adoptive Families of America).
Social Workers available on a case-by-case basis to address the unique needs and provide resources and referral services to families.
Frank Adoption Center has organized a monthly playgroup for families and their children who have adopted through the agency.
It will be a fun and exciting chance for families to network and support one another and for the children to get together and have a great time!
